Why Nordic Light Krill & Fish Oil is good for your health

There are many reasons why the contents of the small, red capsules have a positive effect on your body.

The unique combination in the capsules contains, among other things, one of the most powerful antioxidants we know – Astaxanthin, Omega-3,6 and 9, and vitamin D. Krill oil is made from the purest krill on the market and has been shown to:

The mixture in the capsules is made from 70% highly concentrated Omega-3 obtained from the fish meat from fatty fish, and 30% krill oil.

This mixture of fish oil and krill oil makes the product unique in that the absorption of Omega-3 in the body becomes much more efficient – “normal” fish oil causes the body to absorb 45% of Omega-3.

while the composition of Nordic Light Krill & Fish oil increases the absorption of Omega-3 to between 92-94%. This happens when the phospholipids of the krill oil are mixed with the fish oil, making the contents of the product easily soluble in water (the body).

The krill oil increases the so-called DHA level in the blood – which has a positive effect against depression. DHA fatty acids are the building blocks of the happiness hormone Serotonin. Studies show that people with depression have lower levels of DHA in their blood.

A study has shown that krill oil increased the energy of 51% of subjects, in addition to receiving:

  • better ability to concentrate

The participants in the study used the dietary supplement for more than three months.

The krill used in the capsules from Nordic Light Krill & Fish oil are caught in the clean and cold waters off Antarctica, which are rich in antioxidants and omega-3,6 and 9. The krill live deep in the ocean – where there are few environmental toxins.

Astaxanthin

Astaxanthin is a super-oxidant and is called so because it is 10-100 times more powerful than other antioxidants such as beta-carotene.

It is Astaxanthin that gives the capsules their lovely red color and at the same time penetrates all the skin layers on the body and acts as a kind of internal sunscreen.

In addition to being a powerhouse of antioxidants, Astaxanthin is one of the most sought-after antioxidant supplements at the moment because it is full of anti-inflammatory and anti-fatigue properties without side effects.

The concentration of Astaxanthin in krill is 120 mg/kg. In comparison, salmon fish has around 5 mg/kg of antaxanthin.

Omega-3,6 and 9

Most people have heard of Omega-3, but what are Omega-6 and 9 really good for?

Both Omega-3 and Omega-6 lower the harmful LDL cholesterol, while also lowering the dangerous fat in our blood vessels. Thus, these two are crucial in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

According to the Norwegian Directorate of Health, people who do not eat fatty fish, or who eat little fatty fish, should take a daily supplement of Omega-3.

 

Omega-9

The body produces Omega-9 itself in the body, but compared to Omega-3 and Omega-6, we produce sufficient amounts of Omega-9 on our own, and it is not considered necessary to consume any extra Omega-9.

However, omega-9 can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by lowering the harmful level of LDL cholesterol in the body.
